Preparation:
Each child needs a straw.
Introduction:
Today, we will focus on different vocal warm-ups. We will specifically look at the police car for this.
Exercise 1:
When police cars chase thieves, they turn on their sirens. Start with a police siren warm-up. The children should mimic the sound of a police car siren.
Exercise 2:
The police car's engine also makes a humming sound. Have the children make the humming sound of a car engine with their lips.
Exercise 3:
If there are animals crossing the road in front of the police car, the police officer honks the horn. Use the straws to make honking sounds.
Exercise 4:
Call and response song:
A call and response song is when the teacher sings something, and the children repeat it.
